Growing Long Hair

I'm am working on getting my hair to grow longer, I just trimmed an inch off, and I think it did make my hair a lil better. I don't trim my ends as often as I should. So I'm going to start taking a little better care of my hair to get it a bit healthier and grow longer. right now my hair is about down to my arm pits, I would like my hair to be down past my breasts, maybe even down to my waist. I believe that it is possible. Also I am mostly African-American, and I have relaxed hair. I always had a lot of hair since I was little and been getting relaxers since i was real little too.
My hair has only broke off from a relaxer one time, and it was when I was little, because my mom wanted to try a new relaxer in my hair that just came out, but the relaxer ended up being no good. When I got older, like in my late teens/ early 20's, I started dying my hair sometimes. I never really had a problem with my hair breaking from dying it, up until a few years ago. One day I felt like doing blonde highlights, my hair came out still being soft and shiny, only problem is I didn't exactly like the color, So I went and bought another box of hair dye, and went over it just a couple days after I just dyed it the first time. That was a BIG mistake. For a while after that my hair wasn't the same. The ends were always really dry and frizzy, it was breaking off, so much hair would come out when I comb it.
About a year after that I decided to cut it, to get rid of the damaged hair. I just cut it so that my hair came down to above my shoulders. It grew back just fine, but the ends were still kind of getting on my nerves so I cut it that short again. After that I decided that I'm not cutting it anymore because I really hate my hair being short. So I thought I'll just trim the ends off lil at a time. My hair has grown back down to a lil past my arm pits. But sometimes the ends can still get too dry and get on my nerves, so i'll trim a little bit off, which is what I should be doing anyway about every month 1/2 - 2 months.

So the things that I will start doing from now on to get my hair to grow longer and be a little healthier are:

1. Trim my ends about no more than every 2 months. I won't trim a lot but maybe just a half inch ir an inch, It depends how bad the ends are.
2. Moisturize my hair and especially the ends really good. The ends are the most fragile part and if they get to dry they will break alot more often. I use a olive oil moisturizer and I have a Palmers Olive Oil spray, which I will use that every few days on the ends and a little bit thru out my hair. It makes my hair feel softer and makes it shiny and keeps it from getting frizzy.
3. Deep Condition more often, I think this is especially important for thicker/ kinky/ curly hair. I heard that Olive oil works good as a deep condition as well as just using a tiny bit to moisturize hair.
4. Take vitamins. I take Womens One A Day multi-vitamins. I was taking them before and noticed that my hair was growing faster. But I started to forget about taking them, so I'm trying to get back into the habit of taking them every day.
5. Drink a lot of water everyday. that's also something that I need to do more often.
6. Sleep on Satin pillow cases or wrap your hair at night with a satin or silk scarf. I have been sleeping with a satin scarf every night.
7. Don't use heat on your hair everyday. When you do flat iron or use any kind of heat on your hair, use a heat protector. Again olive oil is also a good heat protector. I don't flat iron my hair everyday, usually just my bangs tho.

So those are the main things that I will be doing more often to get my hair longer and healthier. Here are a couple pictures of how my hair looks now, and how long it is. I just trimmed a inch off a week ago.
